Hello,
My extension, "Clear cache and cookies," was removed from the Chrome Web Store because of the "Spam and Placement in the Store" policy (violation ID: Yellow Nickel).
The extension had more than 40,000 users, a 4.32 rating, and over 100 reviews. It had been available since February 2024, and every build successfully passed moderation review.
I submitted an appeal (Appeal ID 4-3988000041160). In the response, moderation stated
that the item cannot be reinstated at this time, but at the same time asked me to upload a new version.I carefully reviewed the Chrome Web Store requirements, identified what could have caused the policy violation, and prepared a corrected version of the extension that should fully comply with all platform rules.
However, the problem is that I cannot submit a new version, because the extension has already been removed from the store. So I am stuck in a loop:
- Support tells me:
"We value your contributions to the Chrome Web Store and look forward to helping you bring your item into compliance with our policies."- But submission is impossible, because the extension has been removed from the store.
- When I explain this, I receive the same template response again, asking me to upload a new version, even though I cannot do this.
The current situation looks like this:
1. I am told that the extension violates the policy.
2. I prepare a corrected version.
3. The developer dashboard does not allow me to upload it.
4. Support continues to review the old, blocked version.
I have already attached screenshots showing that uploading a new version is not available:

However, moderation keeps replying with the same template response asking me to upload a new version.
Could you please advise how I can ask moderation to restore the ability to upload a new version through the developer dashboard? Moderation does not seem to notice that this option is not available, and keeps sending the same reply.
I really want to bring the extension into full compliance with the rules, but right now I do not understand how to do this technically.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Jimmy
