chrome extension manifest file

I need to load chrome extension manifest file but the file didn't appear as shown in the attached image

any help please

I am not sure what you mean - where did you download a chrome extension from? What are you trying to achieve?

This dialog doesn't show files, it's the correct behavior.

If you need to load a crx or zip file as an extension, you need to just drag and drop it onto the chrome://extensions page. Annoyingly there's no button to load a packed extension from a file.

Before drag'n'dropping, don't forget to enable the "developer mode" switch in the top-right corner.
