Mobile support for extensions are pretty sparse.
I know Firefox is supposed to support it, but my extension is not yet available for FF.

Kiwi browser and yandex do support it, but they do not have a good support for MediaSession in my case (playing media from background.html), did not try MediasSession support from front end pages.

I would love to have support for chrome mobile, and probably many on this forum would too.

does anyone know if there is a roadmap?

See https://crbug.com/113111 - the last meaningful comment (#15) from a Chromium engineer was 8 years ago and it said "No specific plans yet".
No updates since 2012 so evidently there's no roadmap and this is not even being considered.

Thanks wOxxOm, I went there and gave it another star.
I wonder how this is still not done. Does it have demand from developers? For myself it does.
You seem to be on this extension game for a long time, and very active, any more thoughts on the matter?

The closest thing this came to was with an AMA with the Chrome development team in 2015:

"Hi! Do you think there is any kind of future for chrome extensions on the Android Chrome app? I realize why they aren't currently in the app (thanks for the FAQ), but could they ever be considered by some sort of process where the extension is submitted and approved/disapproved?

Of course, this would be in the (presumably) distant future, I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thank you for this AMA!"

"There are no plans to add extensions support on mobile. We haven’t been able to implement these on mobile and still have it be a good user experience."

About it, since then.

I noticed that now there are some extensions for android:

There's not many, and I cannot find any documentation for developers

> extensions for android

There's no such thing. If you open any entry in that list you will see there's a "Get it" link that points to an associated android app in the Google play gallery.
