Hello! I was wondering if there is any way to have a different landing page or be able to upload different media when a user visits our extension in the Chrome store from mobile vs. desktop?

Also curious if anyone has a good strategy regarding how to re-target mobile traffic to the Chrome Store, since it usually doesn't convert

Have a great day!

Hi Marina,

The Chrome Web Store primarily is for the desktop web browser, as it currently only supports the installation of Chrome extensions or Chrome themes on desktop devices. When you visit the Chrome Web Store website on your mobile device, it will redirect to this link:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/unsupported
When a user visits a specific website to install a Chrome extension on their mobile device, such as "Turn Off the Lights" (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/turn-off-the-lights/bfbmjmiodbnnpllbbbfblcplfjjepjdn), they will encounter a button to install the extension. Clicking this button will prompt the user to install the extension, forwarding the installation process to their desktop web browser. So, the next time the user accesses their desktop Chrome web browser, the extension will be installed and ready for use.

|| be able to upload different media when a user visits our extension in the Chrome store from mobile vs. desktop?
Currently, there is no option to upload different screenshots for desktop and mobile visits to your extension's Chrome Store listing.

Thanks,
Stefan vd

Hey Stefan, yes I am aware of what you mentioned, but thanks for the explanation!

Since the possibility exists to click install on mobile, I wanted to be able to add instructions or at least a message to my visitors about how that process works (for example, that they have to be logged into the same Chrome account for it to work).

It would be cool to be able to include a different messaging for visitors on mobile vs desktop. to better guide them. If the Chrome team could take this wishlist request, I would be grateful!
Have a great day,
