we use chrome.app.window.create() function to create new windows.
within the html of the windows, we have the title tag: <title>Some title</title>

but on most of the platforms, this title is not visible. for example, on windows 8, mac and chromebook, no title is displayed. But on ubuntu, the title is visible.

I wonder if this is a bug? or this is a design decision of chrome?

anyway to force showing the title?

thanks

There is no way on any platform except Linux to get the title. There is a http://crbug.com/262951 to add an API to do this, however the default behavior will be to show no title (the Linux behavior is a bug).
