So, I code on Linux for multiple companies. I use exclusive code with each business when I make them Chrome Extensions. When I fire up my Linux browser, it asks which company login I want to work with. Somehow this triggered the AI security bot and I got suspended, being labeled as a bot account, which I clearly was not. Perhaps they think chrome extension developers only use Macs and work with only one company at a time? So, I appealed and explained, gave them my phone number even, and said I would give them screencapture videos of my coding process or anything else they wanted so that they could see that I'm a real human and not a bot.
Well, the appeal worked. They reinstated me within 3 days.
But then, I went to my Chrome Store listing, and my Chrome Extension product for a particular company was in TAKEN DOWN state because it was tied to a suspended developer account. But even though the developer account is unsuspended, I guess one department doesn't speak to the other at Google and so they kept my extension in the taken down state. So, I went to appeal. That was 3 days ago. All I got was a case ID and a "we'll look into this" and deaf silence since then. Meanwhile, the company that I served with this is losing hundreds of dollars a day in business because of this. No one at Google cares.
This isn't fair. I'm being punished for something that was an AI-detected false positive. So, I've had enough of this. I'm calling my Senator.
