How to communicate between Web Page with Chrome Extension

Please let me know how can we communicate between a web page with chrome extension.

We are planning to develop a chrome extension which can maintain a connection to server and all server call backs should be passed to the opened web page.

I activated the communication channel from [Wep - Page] >> to >> [App] >> to >> [Serial] and works

now I have to do the opposite [serial] >> to >> [App] >> to >> [Wep - Page]

how to send data from [App] >> to >> [Wep - Page]  ? (tab or window chrome that sent the message)
