Chrome Web Store Official URL dropdown not showing verified subdomain

I'm trying to set mindfulblock.calmfluffy.cloud as the Official URL for my extension in the Chrome Web Store Developer Dashboard. However, the subdomain doesn't appear in the dropdown — only the root domain, calmfluffy.cloud, does (which I had already added to Search Console).

I have verified mindfulblock.calmfluffy.cloud in Google Search Console in multiple ways:

Both show as verified. It has been several days since verification, so it's not a sync delay issue.

Has anyone managed to get a subdomain to appear in the Official URL dropdown? Is there a specific verification method required, or is this a known limitation?

Thanks!

B

Hi Bas,
Great question! The system the web store uses to confirm that you own a site is the same one that most of Google uses. If you already own the root domain, then you are automatically given control over the subdomains as well, so what you are seeing is the expected behavior. Is there a reason why you want something different?
