Use Angular 4 in chrome extension

Hello All,

I want to know if we can use Angular 4 in chrome extensions.

I followed this article "Developing a Google Chrome Extension using Angular 4", but it did not work properly for me.

Moreover, it created an entirely new directory structure. 

I want to know is there any other way in which I can use Angular 4 such that there is no need to change the basic directory structure of "Hello" chrome extension.

Given the tutorial, I would say you can.

I already tried angular4 with chrome extension but not in depth, but it worked , my approach is i created an angular4 project after building , and declared the file as default popup , it worked. I dont know about your use case but it will work just take special care of the paths, because in angular4 setting the path is somehow tricky.

I followed another tutorial at https://ericterry.us/how-to-build-a-chrome-extension-with-angular-4/ and successfully created an angular-4 chrome extension.

Previously, my last step was wrong. I was supposed to load the extension from "dist" directory after building the application.
