Too much padding on option elements.

I believe since Chrome updated to 120.0.6613.85 (64-bits) in the organization I work for, the padding of option elements within a select has increased. I am unable to affect the padding using CSS, and everyone is very unhappy with the extra padding, which they don't see when using Microsoft Edge (in IE5 compatibility mode).

Does anyone know a workaround?
