Hi there -

Our extension, Streak for Gmail (pnnfemgpilpdaojpnkjdgfgbnnjojfik) has been in the review state for >6 days. We are now in the nightmare scenario where we need to rollout an emergency fix (because of a change to Gmail) but can't even submit the fix for review because we're already in review.

Can anyone help expedite our existing version and the next version (the emergency fix)? This will affect almost a million users.

thank you.

Hi Aleem,

Thanks for flagging this. I confirmed that your item is still in the queue and I'm hopeful it will be reviewed soon.

That said, it is taking a while, even beyond what I would expect for the slighter longer reviews at the moment that you may have seen mentioned in this list. I've reached out to the team to check that everything is moving as expected.

Unfortunately, we can't expedite reviews. If you reach out to https://support.google.com/chrome_webstore/contact/one_stop_support they can usually cancel your current review so you can immediately submit the next one, however.

Thanks,

Noting that Superhuman's extensions are also seeing a significant increase in review times beginning October 23. We also reported on the issue here

Prior to Oct 23, reviews were taking roughly 1-2 hrs.
Since Oct 23rd, the review process has taken as long as 8 days. (ex: jjpbibigahifheoipgfgfdgakiljmlpl).

On our end, there's been no change in permissions nor any significant code changes.
We've contacted chromewebstor...@google.com to learn more, but the responses have appeared automated and didn't offer any information about why there a sudden jump in review time.

Oliver - can you shed any light on the change in review time in the past week or so? Should we expect slower reviews going forwards? Is there something extension developers can do to reduce review time?

Hi Patrick,

Reviews in general were taking longer than expected last week - I'm not certain that we're fully over the hump yet (waiting to see how things go), but this should hopefully be returning to normal.

This is purely on our end so there's nothing you need to do as a developer.

Thanks,
