Action of form submission with target="_blank" seems changed

Before submission of the following form in content script page of
Chrome 5

<form target="_blank">

......

</form>


will cause a new tab to open up.


But now after upgraded to Chrome 6, it will cause a new window opened
up and might be blocked immediately.

My questions are

1) is this problem caused by the upgrading

2) any other solution to let a new tab open rather than a new
window open or submitted to the original tab.
