Google Analytics Purchase/Install Numbers

Hey folks,

I'm looking at the Google Analytics/CWS Install numbers, I'm curious to when an install is counted. Is it when the user clicks the Install button, or when the extension is actually installed? For first time users they receive the warning about sharing data that pops up, I'm wondering if we're losing users on that pop up but we see them as an install in GA

Hi,

Both the GA and CWS install numbers only get incremented if a user clicks through the install warning dialog(s) and proceeds with the install. There currently isn't a way to track how many users quit at one of the warning dialog(s).

There may be some discrepancies between the GA and CWS install numbers since the former is tracked through your item's store listing page while the latter is tracked through Chromium (this thread has some further details).
