Given the new Chrome Web Store Deceptive Installation Tactics FAQ page located at https://developer.chrome.com/webstore/deceptive_installation_tactics and impending changes on 7/1, I'm seeking advice on if I need to revise anything on my extension install flow due to wording referencing animations and audio with respect to the following two items:

1.  Under the "What are the requirements for Chrome Web Store listing window?" question, the sentence "Referrer pages cannot utilize distracting elements, such as animations or audio, to interrupt the installation flow."  is of concern as I have a landing page that sits slightly offset behind the Chrome Web Store window with an animated arrow pointing to the "Add to Chrome" button along with audio indicating to click that button to install the extension.

2.  Under the "What is a misleading interactive element?" question, the sentences "Misleading interactive elements are not limited to those that lead to the Chrome Web Store listing.  Confusing interactions after a user closes the extension listing are subject to our guidelines."  are of concern as I have a light box window appear if a user closes the Chrome Web Store window prematurely before the extension is installed.  It asks the question "Are you sure you want to cancel?" with Yes and No buttons.  If Yes is selected, then the user is redirected to our landing page.  If No is selected, then the Chrome Web Store Window is reopened.

Will I be compliant on 7/1 as is with both of these scenarios?

Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

No it will not, you are not allowed to interfere with the installations/uninstallations of extensions, and are certainly not allowed to redirect individuals to your landing page if they do not want to install an extension - this is inhibiting the installation flow.

Decklin / Deco, thank you for your reply and apologies if I was not clear for Item 2.  My user was originally on my landing page and clicked a button that opened the CWS window on top of the landing page allowing the user to install the extension.  If Yes was selected, the lightbox disappears and the user remains on the landing page.  Given this, still confusing and not compliant?
