Add GA to my extension

Hello Extensions devs, Andy here.
Early this year, I created a Quick Create Google Workspace extension (QCGW) as a side project just to understand how to develop extensions. 
Now the extensions have more than 800 users, and I'd like to add Google Analytics to measure and understand how users behave using  QCGW.

Checking the docs about it, I found this link where the Chrome extensions team explains how to implement GA4.
I'd love to hear your experience implementing  GA4, and all advice you have for me.
