I have a requirement where each tab should have its own proxy.Say for
example, When orkut is opened in one tab and facebook in other tab,
all URL's (including Advertisement, internal links etc) of orkut should
go through proxy 1 and all facebook url's (including
Advertisement, internal links etc) should go through proxy 2.
I can dynamically set there proxy through extension or page
script. Please let me know if there is any API/methord to do this.

you can have 2 connections but only for domains using bypassList in
proxyList

You can use configure proxies per domain by using a custom PAC script, see http://code.google.com/chrome/extensions/proxy.html. We do not support configuring the proxy per tab.

Best regards,
Dominic
