Hi Chrome Extension Team,

I've noticed that the review process for my recent significant updates has been taking quite a bit of time, averaging 3 to 4 days. I completely understand that you have a heavy workload.
However, for updates that involve critical bug fixes with only minor changes to the codebase, is there a specific way we should phrase the description, or any other approach we can take to expedite the review process?

Thank you for your assistance!

Best regards,
Tanzim

Hi Tanzim,

We're aware that this is common feedback, and we are always looking to improve things. However, there isn't a way to expedite reviews.

We do have some general advice here: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/webstore/review-process

However, I would encourage against focusing too much on the recommendations there. Ultimately, review time can vary based on a number of different factors, and some of those are outside of your control. I've definitely seen cases where developers spend too much effort removing a particular permission or trying to over-optimise their description and that work isn't always valuable.
