Managed Chrome Browser - Private Extensions being Disabled

Hi,

I am using google workspace to manage browsers in my organisation. I primarily use this to deliver private chrome extension using policies setup in google workspace. This setup has worked for years.

Recently, users are reporting that the chrome extension is being "forced disabled" with no ability to enable the chrome extension.

Has there been a change regarding this?

Ok, one user has reported that they see this red error message " This extension is not listed in the Chrome Web Store and may have been added without your knowledge.  "

This is causing significant disruption to my users.
