Hello everyone

I see that the anti-spam treatment in Chrome Store has not yet been met, there are still thousands of extensions with fraudulent installations, fake reviews and that make all possible traps go up in the rankings with spam extensions, unfortunately this problem continues for months more late.

The "program policies" are not fulfilled and I see that they will never be fulfilled, the Chrome Store team does not want to.

What good is making the rules if they are not followed later?

Unfortunately, I agree that Google does not abide by its rules. There are actually thousands of extensions that violate spam rules.
Several examples.

Simeon, could you please tell why it's been four months since the new rules were adopted and you're (I mean Google) not doing anything? It's not fair game. I really dislike seeing all this.

You are not right. All four extensions from my first post are considered spam.

Keyword spam
How many sites/keywords/brands can be listed in the metadata?

At most five instances of a keyword. Keywords must be relevant to the extension’s purpose. Do not repeat brand names in the description. When listing supported websites or brands in the description, do not list more than five.

So, for this extension from Keepa https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/keepa-amazon-price-tracke/neebplgakaahbhdphmkckjjcegoiijjo, I see six instances of a keyword Amazon. Six is more than five. I also see 15 mentions of brands of Amazon sites. Fifteen is more than five.

I see no reason not to consider this extension to be in violation of directory rules.

For this extension from Amazon https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/amazon-assistant-for-chro/pbjikboenpfhbbejgkoklgkhjpfogcam, I see nine instances of a keyword Amazon. Nine is more than five. I see no reason not to consider this extension to be in violation of directory rules.
