Hello, I'm planning a new Chrome extension and would appreciate a policy clarification before starting development.

The idea is to publish a standard version on the Chrome Web Store that contains no explicit or adult content and fully complies with all store policies. Separately, I would distribute an extended version or addon from my own website (not through the Chrome Web Store) that includes adult-oriented features which would likely not pass Chrome Web Store review.

Both versions would share the same core functionality, but the adult features would exist only in the self-hosted build. Or maybe that would be an addon extension that can work together with main one, I just don't know yet how it can be done technically

Anyway my question: Would distributing the self-hosted adult version put the Chrome Web Store listing at risk of removal or policy violation? Or is this an acceptable approach, as long as the store-published version itself remains compliant?

Thank you in advance for any guidance.
