Chrome Webstore Reviews stopped populating as of Nov 6th for ALL extensions

Hi!

I noticed that for every extension new reviews have stopped populating int he Chrome Webstore. If you look at any extension's listing, you can see that the last review came in at Nov 6th. I know users are still writing reviews since I get the emails whenever a user writes in but they're not showing up on the Webstore itself!

Could someone take a look at this?

Yes, this happens often. Even sometimes Chrome Webstore reduced reviews showing for the extension I worked on, very strange. Unless the system for the internal Chrome Dev team is buggy.

I see the same, but I noticed that they don`t show reviews with Comments while reviews without comments are still visible.

I believe there is some comments-validation code behind the scene and maybe there is a bug happened. let`s wait.

I see reviews from today, but will the reviews that came in over the past week ever get published?

Here is the list of reviews that seems to be lost, I`ve got review notification be email but still don`t see them in store:

Seems like starting from Nov 5 all the reviews with Comment were not handled by system.

The reviews are no longer displayed on the main extension page. Is this a bug or an intentional change? I preferred having the reviews visible on the main page.

Also the reviews left after the 6th are still not showing once clicking to see "all reviews".

What is going on?

I definitely think reviews should be displayed on the main page. They've been really helpful in the past for alerting me to malware and similar issues.

Thanks, Oliver. Once fixed, can you confirm if they will backfill the missing reviews from the 6th to the 14th? We know we got at least a couple hundred during this time since we got emails for them, but just wondering if they will be lost forever or backfilled.

That is certainly our goal - we thought we had done this already but clearly it doesn't seem to have worked. I'll let you know as soon as I have an update.

The team let me know that they have done more work to restore the impacted reviews.

Hey Oliver,

Thanks so much for continuing to follow up.

We are seeing all of our reviews from this time restored but our review count on our web store page is not properly updated. Our dashboard shows a much higher number (about a 500 review difference, which is about a 50% discrepancy for us) which accurately reflects all the reviews that came in during that time period.

Thank you for your offer of assistance. Some reviews just posted now. Received an email notif of a review with comments on the 13th, and it posted to store listing a moment ago. 

Maybe it just takes a week? Or maybe they are working through a backlog now? 

For future reference (and to save bandwidth in these forums) how long is typical between email notif and being able to see the review in the store listing?

I don't think we have a specific time frame, but I would always wait a couple of days before becoming concerned :)

Hi Oliver, I still see reviews are not populating to my extension. 

I get emails, but they are not appearing in extension listing.

After your fix of 6th November, it was briefly fixed for me and then got back to not working.

Plus dozens of reviews are visible in listing , but disappeared in analytics.
