Hey All,

I've been taking a look through the docs and google groups for
Chromium extensions, and haven't found an answer for the following:

Is it possible to write a Chromium extension that can add new custom
search engines?

I was thinking of quickly hacking something up really for my own use
to mimic the Firefox functionality of right clicking on a search form
and be able to add it as a custom search engine.

I looked through the chrome apis available to Chromium extensions, and
didn't find anything that dealt with this, but I could have overlooked
something, or it might simply not exist. But I thought I would ask
here before abandoning all hope.

Thanks for any help,

-Paul

Hi Paul,

Have you looked at the omnibox API?
