Hi

Extension id: egfdommobpfddelipocoipmblbeikhgg

Extension was deactivated with an alert "contains malware". As malware was recognized a third-party tracking code, which i removed at the same day and sent an updated clean version for approvement and activation. This was at 23.09.2020. Since then my extension is deactivated without check or any other message.

What could be done to activate my extension again?

Thank you
Egon

Just curious, which tracking code did you use? I think you need to upload it as a new extension and start from 0 now..

Why do you mean it is senseless to wait until it will be approved? The extension has nearly 5k users - would be a bit pity to lose them. But, indeed, i maybe will be forced to follow your advice, if nothing happens :(

I had an extension with 150 000 users. I was contacted by one company which offered me money if I add code, they told me it was completely secure, legal etc. I asked other developers to check it and seems that it track just simple data, nothing private. Extension was blocked without even giving a reason. "Malware", where? Why? Nothing, just "malware" even if I think there was no malware they didn't even check which information is collected

Exactly (100%) same shit. In my case was the company which offered me money if I add code - Extensionmetric.

I wonder just, why the review procedure is pending for such long time. I published some extensions - never ever took the reviewing longer as a week...

But if this Eric is so big scammer.. They could block his website, or let users update extension to remove the code, cause many extensions are still on the users' PC (they will be removed only after browser updates). So a lot of users still have that code on their browsers :/

Nevertheless the question remains: what's up with the reviewing procedure? Why is it pending for such long time?
