I am a solo developer currently working on an extension that includes in-app purchases. To facilitate this, I need to set up a trader account, which requires a listed address. For safety reasons, I am highly uncomfortable listing my home address, as I currently have a restraining order against an individual.
To address this, I've secured a Post Office (PO) Box at my local post office and have updated the mailing address for my utility bill to reflect this PO Box. I then attempted to use this utility bill as proof of address for the verification process. However, my submission was rejected with the error message: "The uploaded document cannot be verified."
I am hesitant to attempt another verification immediately, as I've read that multiple failed verification attempts can lead to account suspension.
My primary question is: Is it possible to use a Post Office Box as a valid mailing address for proof of address verification for a trader account, particularly when there are legitimate safety concerns preventing the use of a residential address?
If so, could you please provide guidance on what specific requirements or types of documents would be acceptable when using a PO Box for verification?
Any advice or clarification on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
- Mitch
