Why not make the "Close tab" button on the left side of a tab on Mac OS X?

You know in every other app in Mac, the "Close window" and "Close Tab" button is on the left side. When using Chrome/Chromium, I alwayls point my mouse to the left and then find it's not the right place.

I don't think there is an option in the Settings, so, may I ask if you can put the close tab button to the left if the native UI of the OS put it on the left?
