Hi

I was thinking it would be great to have extra options for the 'find on page' functionality in chrome (Ctrl-F). Like an option to match only whole words and/or a case-sensitive match option. Maybe as tick boxes on the main UI. Is this something that would be wanted and could be implemented into chromium and be accepted? I would be happy to attempt it myself.

Thanks for your time
Hugh

I doubt it would be accepted. This has been discussed before, along with providing reg-exp support, and discounted because it would yield low usage and make the UI and search implementation more complex.

Hi Finnur thanks for your reply

I understand that reg-exp is perhaps a step too far, but Firefox manages to have a Match Case option which does not overcomplicate its UI. I can't imagine that a similar option would add more than a few lines to the current find implementation.

But I am happy to take no for an answer if you think that it is just not worth it and it would not be approved.

Thanks again for your time
Hugh
