Hello,

Does anyone know how to change Chrome's default homepage without using the Chrome Settings/Toolbar? I need Chrome to default to our company's homepage, but can't figure out how to do it and deploy it company-wide. I tried changing this:

   "homepage_changed": true,
   "homepage_is_newtabpage": true,

When changing the "homepage" section to our URL, it didn't launch automatically or when I clicked the Home button.

Does anyone have any ideas, things that they have tried, or links to other pages, documents, or blogs that have that kind of info. Ironically my Google searches didn't give me anything except the option I tried.

Thank you in advance,

FinnishHammer

Have you looked at the administrative templates?

Yes. We did this through reg edits through login script and GPO. The .adm still wasn't the greatest. We updated our website and just upgraded to IE 9 and use Chrome as an alternate browser. Chrome Frame was horrible, but served its purpose I guess. Glad the EOL'ed it. Yay!!

Thank you,

Justin

Could you maybe post the reg edits you have made?
I would prefer not working with GPO's if its somehow possible with simple reg edits and the logon script.

best regards, jk
