I understand most registrars have dropped support for most punycode-like domains.
In the Chromium project, there is a reference to 'nefarious' homograph risk http://www.chromium.org/developers/design-documents/idn-in-google-chrome

Fair enough, but....

  1. users are shifting to mobile
  2. most mobile keyboards now support emoji
  3. emoji are unicode
  4. emoji are not as easily subject to homograph attacks
So why doesn't Chrome support, for example, xn--yp8h.com

.com

Do other browsers support this (which?)?
