When searching for Chrome keyboard shortcuts and/or extensions in conjunction with a technical web analysis application in Windows (the need is to search videos frame by frame forward and backward), the only thing I ever come across is existing or added functionality that will primarily only work in YouTube, YouTube, and more YouTube. But I am unable to get any such functionality in my analysis application under development.
Are there not any such shortcuts for Chrome that will function decently in web pages and/or players other than YouTube? I have searched extensively and thought I would come across an all-inclusive list of shortcuts that might include some lesser known ones on it, but I have not been able to find a relevant one to date. Some are not very clear regarding their functioning (at least to me), such as one webpage shortcut that says "Browse clickable items moving forward."
I have similarly searched extensively for things like extensions. Among many that have been found and tried, there is a Chrome extension where frame-by-frame playback is supposed to be achieved using a couple of the keyboard keys, but when enabled I still obtain no needed frame-by-frame playback and search capability. (Apparently I need but apparently do not have the native Chrome media player installed or active in my particular application [being principally developed by a hired contractor]).
Other than the apparent popularity of the Chrome browser, I am not really sure why I am still searching for this particular solution, as we do get decent required functionality in Firefox and Edge browsers as examples and should perhaps just be saying the heck with Chrome. But somehow I feel we might be missing something that is right in front of our noses and that if an answer cannot be found for this before proceeding any further we will just run into related problems later anyhow. Thank you very much in advance for any responses. I really appreciate it.
