I've noticed in the last few weeks that my most visited page, gmail, has disappeared from the grid of 8 thumbnails on the new tab page. I've tried everything, and I simply can't get it back. I am aware that gmail exists on the apps tab of the new tab page, but clicking to apps is a pain. I want a large gmail thumbnail on the new tab page. Where has it gone? Why was it taken away? And how can I get it back?

Thank you

You can get it back by typing its address into omnibox often enough.

You might have removed it yourself accidentally (or someone else).
If so, the way to get it back is to hover over one of the thumbnails, click on the "X" that shows up on the top right corner and then click on the "Restore all" links that shows up above the thumbnails and to the left.

Thank you, but "Restore all" has no effect, I've already tried it.

It's almost as though someone at chromium has decided that, since gmail appears on the apps tab, it shouldn't appear in the list of 8 most visited pages (which incidentally doesn't reset itself when you delete the cache - very annoying).

Is it possible that someone in the project would have made such a decision?

I doubt anyone would make such a decision. It's most likely a bug.

Here, it still sits on its premier position!

It did dissapear though once, but that was when other links were used superior to googlemail.

Hi. I've been looking to solve this problem for a few hours now and I've tried everything yet nothing seems to work is there anything else I can do that isn't listed in any of the forums.
