I have a support ticket from a user who cannot open local html files as expected in Chrome. Double-clicking the html file normally opens the view in Chrome. Now this will cause Mac OS to change focus to Chrome, but will not open the files. If I drag the html file onto an open Chrome window, it will open, but the user tells me that images and other parts of the page are missing or not visible. Opening these files in any other browser works as expected.

You can search crbug.com for an existing issue and star it. If you cannot find one, file a new issue using the "New issue" link on the same page.
Please, do not add a "+1" or "Me too" or "Confirmed" (or similar) comment. It just wastes the time of Chrome engineers and sends unnecessary e-mails to all of the people who starred the issue.

You can reply with a link to the found or created issue and might get triaged (and fixed) faster.

Thank you.

Ever find a solution for this? Been having this same issue for a couple months.

Hi Kirk,

Would you mind searching the bug tracker for this issue, and creating one if you can't find it, and posting a link here? You can find more info in the last message in this thread.

I opened a bug tracker for this. I searched for a similar issue and did not see one near the top of the hundreds of search results. Apologies if it ends up being a duplicate.
