Here's my collaboration product idea for Google Chrome.

See Concept at > http://goo.gl/zcvhU" and a v 0.01 version of an
extension (https://chrome.google.com/extensions/detail/
ijoihfjoeojojgbhiojilmhkahkclaje?hl=en#)

Given the fact that multiple device types (smart phones, tablets,
netbooks etc.,) have the Browser as a common feature and that most
collaboration opportunities are likely happen through the browser, I'd
like to suggest this feature to be built on Google Chrome. This idea
lets users collaborate contextually on a page that they are on by
lettings other users to see the exact same page content in their
browser tab.

"See what I see and do, on my browser &/tab" (including scroll
position, mouse cursor, audio etc.,)

"Share My Browser widget": Host clicks on "Share" button on Google
Chrome, invites users (thru an url) to instantly see his tab content
from browsers on multiple devices & additionally collaborates
effectively by using IM, cam, "called back" VOIP,/phone/ video calls.

Excellent idea!
Have you got a solution on how to serialize changes to the DOM?

UI for Chrome would probably push out most/all buttons etc into the
toolbar button's popup and leave the the "full web page" available for
the sharing session. Thus by having the same screen size as the host,
there would be almost no difference. (Perhaps the remote mouse cursor
would be highlighted in yellow or something similar to how it's
usually done in screencasts)

IM could work similar to Gmail's chat, staying in a box out of the
way, or as the GDocs chat that rolls out to cover the whole right
sidebar (a feature that looks copied from etherpad.org)

Is the audio API allowing for browser-to-browser voice calls? What
support is there for video recording, and how could a video feed from
my cam be streamed? Perhaps by using a widget from bambuser or some
similar live broadcast site. Or are there plans for native video
encoding inside Chrome? This audio/video part is perhaps the least
crucial for the success of the idea, but if it gets done it could
perhaps be published as a product by itself, so even without the
webpage stuff, and compete with existing video conference apps.

Muthu: Traditionally, in screen sharing/ remote desktop sharing scenarios, screenshots/pictures were taken, compressed and sent over the net from one desktop to another.

In this new scenario, we NEED a way to capture the DOM code and transfer the code structure from Host's tab A (with permissions) to the invited users's tab B. This method will be much faster than the traditional method . When there are cursor position changes, changes in page elements, ( javascript, css, html, etc,,) only the delta, gets transferred.

Muthu: Yes, this solution can be offered as a bundle of individual products as well and a whole lot of APIs needs to be created.
