Proposal to accept cookies/website cookie policy in addressbar

Could we implement the cookie status and acceptance within the addressbar to comply with GPDR? In a similar manner to the HTTPS/SSL lock icon, we could display the cookie icon if the site requires cookies and if they have been accepted. I took liberty design a mockup. Seeing "accept cookies" banners on every website that has no standard frustrates me as an engineer like millions of others.
