My chrome version is now 11.0.672.2.

I could enter "about:flags" and enable/disable the flag in chrome
version 10.
But it's not on the page now. I also tried the following command:
$ open /Applications/Google\ Chrome.app --args --disable-expose-for-
tabs

still not work...

Could anybody help me?
Thanks!

This is enabled by default now. Why do you want to disable it? Does it
not work well?

What does tab overview do? I use Canary, Chromium, and stable Chrome and somehow this feature slipped by me I guess.

It's mac-only. Here's a video of an old version:

Dang that's pretty cool, there is no way to activate it for windows?

Nope, it's mac only at the moment.

No, it works well and a nice job, thank you all!
But...it conflits with my next-tab gesture of JItouch which i get used
to.

IMHO, it will be better to have a option to custom.

I agree, it's conflicting with my top page, bottom page gesture in
JiTouch.

also what's this yet another feature forced upon it's users?

+1 on "the gesture is conflicting with my JiTouch stuff and I'd like
to be able to turn it off" from me.

It seems that an app like JiTouch that adds gestures to other programs
should have a toggle to select if the program's gestures or JiTouch
gestures have precedence. I sent the JiTouch guys a mail, we'll see
what comes out of it. Stay tuned.

Just wanted to throw another vote in the hat for having this become an
option again. For the same reason as others, I use a 3-finger down
swipe to jump to the bottom of a page, and this is completely throwing
me for a loop now that it's enabled by default.

You're correct, but I'm not sure if that would actually solve my case;
what the three-fingers-down gesture is conflicting with is actually a
slightly different gesture (one finger fix, two fingers down). I won't
pretend to know how OS X's gesture API or toolkit or whatever works,
but since they're different gestures would I end up getting a double-
register on the gesture?

Thanks for taking a look for us!

so glad to have found this thread..
i posted the same question at chrome help
http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome/thread?tid=176efe6680c8fb3a&hl=en
to no avail yet.. clint, i second your discovery that tab overview
is activating with the -slightly different- one finger fixed, two
slide down gesture -as well as- a three fingered swipe... i would
also like the ability to turn off tab overview entirely [or assign a
different gesture to it] as i currently use three fingered swipe to
minimize windows with JItouch and i'm not keen to get out of that
habit. i would also love to hear the results of any correspondence
from the JItouch people.
thanks!

Any update to this? I greatly prefer using three finger swipe down to
scroll to the bottom of the page...

Haven't heard back from the jitouch folks yet.

it's not the JiTouch guys that are the problem it's the Chromium
developers removing the option of turning this feature on and off!

yes JiTouch lets people assign custom gestures to other functions
because mostly software developers aren't giving any control to anyone
about gestures (surprise surprise) that's if they program any gestures
in at all.

it's simple, bring back the option for Mac users in about:flags and
this problem will disappear, even if it's on by default let us turn it
off again!

I really can't believe this is happening again after the phantom tabs
diabolical, again decisions forced upon me by "the powers that be" are
getting in the way of this being an awesome web browser.

annoying feature ever :/

Hi Nico,

Any movement yet?

It wouldn't be so bad if the performance wasn't so awful on it — and
that's a problem that's independent of JiTouch or custom gestures in
general. I regularly run up to 30ish tabs per window, and when I
trigger the tab exposé by accident, my computer is largely unusable
for anywhere from 5 to 30 seconds as Chrome hangs trying to spool up
the animation. If it was instantaneous, the cost of missing the
intended gesture wouldn't be so high, but as-is, I get to spend half a
minute hating myself for not just using cmd+w.

Thanks,
—Clint

Hi Clint,

the slowness is a bug and shouldn't happen -- can you file an issue at
new.crbug.com please?

But tabpose is off by default again for now.
