Hello. Is there a way to set up Chrome so that it will ignore insecure
content on a particular page? Our home page is https, but there is
some content that is not secure and the user gets prompted to allow
the insecure content or not every time Chrome opens.

Thanks for your time

  • Although not recommended, you can also use the command line flag
  • --allow-running-insecure-content to prevent Chrome from checking for insecure content. Instructions on how to add a command line flag can be found on our Chromium site (English only).

I saw that, but I don't want to block the warnings for all sites, only
the one. I guess I want to white list this one site. Is that possible?

Can't you fix your site instead?

I would like to, but I'm a lowly desktop engineer trying to get this
deployed (or is that 'deployable') to the masses. I have put in a
request to the appropriate development group, but no dice for some
time.

I too, would like to have this feature. The reason is: I am editing a website using the CMS, Squarespace. Their admin panel is secure, but the scripts I load in the content like Google's JQuery are not.

If you're loading scripts from Google's hosted library collection,
those are available via https as well, and you should use the https
version to prevent the security issue. In fact, you can use a
schema-relative url like
//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.23/jquery-ui.min.js which
will automatically use http or https according to the page it's
contained on.

Did we get a solution for this issue?

I have just raised a new query for a similar function although my requirement is for our secure site to post data using AJAX to hardware on the local network.
