If you enable logging, do you see anything in the log?

I see a lot of things (81 line)
I don't want to spam with the whole log, here are some of the "suspicious" lines

...............
16 - [6568:2912:1009/220241:VERBOSE1:install_util.cc(197)] No existing Google Chrome Canary install found.
............
63 - [6568:2944:1009/220241:WARNING:external_pref_loader.cc(212)] You are using an old-style extension deployment method (external_extensions.json), which will soon be deprecated. (see http://developer.chrome.com/extensions/external_extensions.html)
..................
75 - [6568:2912:1009/220241:WARNING:external_registry_loader_win.cc(211)] Error observing HKLM.
................
81 - [6568:3900:1009/220242:VERBOSE1:proxy_service.cc(1259)] Failed configuring with PAC script, falling-back to manual proxy servers.

like I wrote, problems started yesterday after update (not possible to start it again)

actually, there is another file called debug.log (not chrome_debug.log) in application folder
it's full of errors and warnings

Can you post the last few lines?

Hopefully, the next version fixes this. What is the latest Chrome canary version on your machine (you can look it up by looking at the same Application folder in which you found the log, every version has its own folder)?
According to https://omahaproxy.appspot.com/, it looks like 56.0.2886.1 is the latest. Do you have a folder with that name?

no
my version is 56.0.2884.0
it's not updated probably because it cant start in the first place
I'll try to do fresh install again

I downloaded latest canary installer from official google page and it's 56.0.2885.0 version
still no luck in starting it, instant crash

btw I see from your link that next version 56.0.2886.1 is gonna be SyzyASan,

By the way, updates happen in the background. Chrome does not need to run (unless you disabled automatic updates somehow). Google Update checks, downloads and runs the installation in the background.

You can search crbug.com for an existing issue and star it. If you cannot find one, file a new issue using the "New issue" link on the same page.
Please, do not add a "+1" or "Me too" or "Confirmed" (or similar) comment. It just wastes the time of Chrome engineers and sends unnecessary e-mails to all of the people who starred the issue.

You can reply with a link to the found or created issue and might get triaged (and fixed) faster.

Thank you.

There was a never-ending thread on crbug.com/654193 later merged into crbug.com/654213
The good news is that it has been fixed.

Yes - same here - I get a brief flash on screen as if it is about to launch and then nothing - assume it's crashing.

Tried rebooting to no avail.

Can't see anything new in log - must be crashing before it gets a chance to log the problem

it's been fixed
Have you update Canary to latest version?
(maybe auto update doesn't work because of your firewall, etc)

Hurrah - magically working again after background update ran automatically.
