Chromium is having issues playing videos on Facebook, Twitch, Odysee

Hey everyone,

I am using fedora linux 36 and the latest version of Chromium. 

I have no problem playing youtube videos on the browser, but when i go to fb, twitch or odysee it says 'media is not supported' / 'no compatible source was found'.

however, when i use firefox on the same pc, it works just fine. 

I have tried clearing cookies, disabling extensions, reinstalling the browser but it just does not work.

what is the reason of this and how can fix it?

It is probably the lack of non-free codecs like H.264. You could build your own version of Chromium with a non-free codec configuration, if you want (of course, it is probably not legal).
