I used to like that Google Chrome gave mi the option to switch between "most visited sites" and "apps" when I opened a new tab. Now, when I open it, the first thing I see is the search engine it self and a direct access to: facebook, CNN, ebay, tumblr...  but no most visited sites anywhere
Any one knows how to go back to the old interface?
Thanks so much!

Nothing changed here with Chrome Canary, you've done something (installed something?). Also check from settings the settings for what to do at start (open new tab, continue where you left or open specific page).

Sounds like the re-worked New Tab Page. My Chrome is configured to get updates from the Beta channel and it just updated to 28.0.1500.11 dev-m this morning. I've been seeing a page like you described. These are still your 4 most-frequently accessed pages. A recent update brought mine back to 8 tiles (two rows of 4). I still don't see a way to display apps there. You just have to click "Apps" from the Bookmarks toolbar on the NTP.

This is due to a virus floating around. Close Google Chrome, launch Control Panel and uninstall 'Default Tab' by LLC. Your Chrome page will be back to normal.

Hi there - to get back to the old interface where it gives you the "APPS" and "MOST VISITED SITES" option - follow the steps below!  It worked for me  ;)

> chrome://flags

> scroll down and look for Change Enable Instant Extended API to disabled in the drop down box (see attached screenshots)

Good luck!!

I despise the new My Tab Page. All I did was turn on my computer and my chrome is closed, I opened it up and my home page is changed completely. I have to scroll down to see my favourite pages? and they have a second search bar on the page... Why? I was using the url box and I was very content with that. The fact that they included Gmail, and Google+ is good, but they way they went about it was all so wrong. I thought when they incorporated that, it would be like how it is when you're in Gmail, or searching something, or in your calendar. I really hope they change this soon. It's disgusting. It makes me wanna go back to Firefox for a little...
