Does Google chrome support byteserving (linearized) of PDF's?

The blog (which is old on Adobe) http://blogs.adobe.com/acrobat/a-new-web-browser-joins-the-party-google-chrome/ seems to indicate that Google chrome does not support byteserving a PDF. But seems incorrect given how fast the first pages of PDF are loaded. So has Chrome incorporated byteserving capability if the server supports it?
