before, it was possible to run Chrome with command line option " --enable-file-cookies" but now it doesn't work.

I know the multiples reasons of security but i want to run my own html/javascript page in saving variables in cookie...
It's my own page in my personal computer and it's my responsability of myself, stop the security in all level of the society please!

If Chrome doesn't do it, i switch on Firefox, "Dommage!"...

But the big Google have perhaps a intermediatly solution ?

Thanks for respons and genious ideas ;)

Looks like the flag is gone.
Does --disable-web-security and --allow-file-access-from-files help? Note that those flags (especially the first one) highly compromises the security of the browser and are very much discouraged for non-internal browsing.

If not, Firefox is probably the way. You could also just run a small static server, which is the preferred way of doing things, because file:// URLs have many limitations and restrictions that HTTP:// URLs do not have.
https://gist.github.com/willurd/5720255 has a list of one liners for running a static server.

This is the smallest (disk space and memory) standalone server I could find -
No installation required, just copy it to the desired directory (or root) and run (you have to use the task manager to shut it down, though).
And it is open source.

All cookies are now managed thru settings - content settings.

Having you as the PC owner manage content settings such as cookies is far better than allowing a programming interface to take advantage of a line option.

After a quick check, Cookies are *strictly* a HTTP mechanism as per RFC 2109. Don't be surprised when you lose them from IE & Firefox too.

Sorry about that.
Jon.
