chromium installation zip files - how to run?

I downloaded zip file with Chromium for windows and unpacked it and when I pressed exe it wasn't installation file but it worked as portable version. I mean Chromium started without installing. 

When I run Chromium this way does sandbox still work? 

Is there an installation file for windows?

Is there an installation file for Linux?

I downloaded both versions from 

https://download-chromium.appspot.com

In chrome-linux.zip I can see chrome_sandbox but I don't know how to run it. When I click on it nothing happens.

"There is a binary executable within to run" - which are binary files both for Windows and Linux? How to run them?
