Hello Everybody. I'm really pleased to join this group. I have a
question. Please help me. I have tried my best to find how to
compile .dic and .aff into .bdic . I saw Chromium help said that "use
convert_dic.cc". But i couldn't successful in the compilation. Could
you tell me which program I can use for compile. I really want Khmer
dictionary available in Google Chrome/Chromium.

Thank you in advanced.

If you're on Windows or 64-bit Linux, I can send you a binary, but
it's not guaranteed to work. I'm not sure the bdic format supports
every language feature, and if Khmer uses some of these features, it
may cause odd problems.

Dear Sir, I'm a newbie and it seems to me complicated to create the .bdic file by checkout. I have created extensions for OpenOffice and Firefox regarding hunspell spell check containing especially a .dic and a .aff file. It is a custom spell checker for the transcription of the Persian language in Latin alphabet (see http://extensions.services.openoffice.org/de/project/PRSN2NDALPHBTDICT and https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/persian-2nd-alphabet-dictio/). I would very much like to make the spell check also work in Google Chrome. Could you please help me? Maybe by providing me with the binaray file? Is there an instruction page for doing that? Thank you very much in advance.

Unfortunately, Chrome doesn't support adding dictionaries for
additional languages. Generally, it knows which languages are
supported and will download and update those languages. You can't add
new ones without either modifying the source, or pretending to be an
existing language and overwriting that language's file (which will put
your file in danger of being overwritten automatically during
updates).
