Uninstall broken plugins and extensions

Hello,

Due to a problem between keyboard and chair, I removed the directory
which had a plugin (actually, it seems it was both a plugin and an
extension, GWT) that is currently installed in my chromium profile.

As the directory is now gone, chromium shows an error on startup
(complaining the manifest is missing, of course), and there are no
entries for that plugin or the related extension in about:plugins or
about:extensions.

This was a (probably hand-crafted) old version of the GWT browser part
(so no way to reinstall it without knowing where exactly did the files
come from) and I don't need it anymore, so I'm trying to uninstall it.

A quick grep tells me the directory is mentioned some times in the
Preferences file, so I could as well remove these entries, but I was
wondering if there's some way to force chromium to *show* entries for
broken plugins and extensions, so I could have a cleaner way to
uninstall this.

I do not think there is, you have to remove it from Preferences yourself, like you removed the directory yourself (accidentally).
