Hi, I've used Google Chrome for a while, so I wanted to download
Chromium, but I can't import bookmarks from Chrome (only Firefox and
IE, which i don't use)
I've exported them as HTML, but I don't know whether Chromium can
import HTML bookmarks
Any ideas (except manually placing all of them)?

1. It should be able to import that bookmarks from the exported HTML.
2. You could use sync to synchronize your bookmarks (and other settings), Chromium supports sync as well.

Hi,

two possible approaches:

1.) You could set up bookmark sync in both chromium and chrome (preferrable)
2.) You could just copy over the chrome profile over the chromium
profile: http://www.chromium.org/user-experience/user-data-directory

Import bookmarks from any browser

  1. Export bookmarks from any browser as a HTML file and save the file to your computer.
  2. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar in Google Chrome.
  3. Select Bookmark manager.
  4. Click the Organize menu in the manager.
  5. Select Import bookmarks.
  6. Open your saved HTML file.

The best way to sync bookmarks is to sign in to your browsers with you Gmail account. This works especially well across multiple machines.

I believe any Google account will do, not only GMail ones.
