Do you have an actual issue?

I believe that as long as you build with API keys (in particular the Chrome Sync API) it should work.

Why do you need to use Chromium? If you have multiple users, you can create multiple profiles (people) in Chrome.

MSI Team, at first this was just for an extra browser and to learn some about Chromium, but now it is a necessity.  I am running Linux 32bit which is no longer supported by Chrome so now more than ever need to Sync, that is why I am back now and will follow the link provided.  Although, don't know why you would care if I wanted to use Chromium or not?  I like Chromium and want to test the speed of both although don't see much difference at this point.

While I don't know the plans for sure, it seems optimistic to assume that Chromium will support 32 bit after Chrome drops that support.

Yes, I want to Sync Chrome and Chromium and want to know if this is feasible or not?
Can't use Chrome on 32bit Linux anymore.

That is not an issue, that is a question that can be answered by installing Chromium and trying to sign into it. :)

Anyway, I believe the answer is yes, but like I wrote, it is pretty easy to find it out on your own.

@K-Bob:

I am running Chrome and Chromium side by side on my machine since the "early days" (Chrome 0.7 I think) and never had any problems syncing both on all of my computers. What is synced, depends on your own settings on your Google dashboard.

Actually. recent Chromium builds (from the past few months) have been problematic in this regard. See crbug.com/560551.

I have Chromium on Ubuntu64bit  and Chrome on Windows 7 64bit and are not synced.

Tried to find something in settings but nothing helped me. If anyone can help....please feel free! :)

You must build Chromium with API keys in order to use Google services such as Sync, Translate, etc. Instructions for getting keys for your own development use: https://www.chromium.org/developers/how-tos/api-keys

If you do this, your build of Chromium will sync with Google Chrome so long as you sign in to both with the same Google Account.

Thank you Rachel! Worked like a charm.

Though the webpage is slightly different than the description is very easy to find your way and follow the steps. One thing I didnt find on the link provided is where to put the keys if you dont use windows or chromium os and you didnt custom build chromium.

After getting the keys then, open .profile located in your home folder (you will need to see hidden files), and add the following three lines to the end of the file (on a new line):

export GOOGLE_API_KEY="api_key"
export GOOGLE_DEFAULT_CLIENT_ID="client_id"
export GOOGLE_DEFAULT_CLIENT_SECRET="client_secret"

found here
