How an Accelerator ( Keyboard shortcut ) works ?

I tried to learn how an accelerator ( more specifically : Ctrl+V / paste ) works at Ubuntu Wayland(Gtk4) platform but lost in chromium source codes.

Could you please shed me some light on it ? Thankyou !
