hid device not listed by chrome hid api, but listed by chrome usb api

Hi,

    I have a device that is identified by the os as a hid device (see output from lsusb) 

but 

chrome.hid.getDevices({}, function (devices) {

doesn't list it 

while

chrome.usb.getDevices({}, function (devices) {

does.

Where could the problem lie?
