Mouse cursor size

For a long time I have been frustrated by not being able to find the mouse pointer on Xubuntu 20.04 on a 4K display. I finally decided to choose a theme in the Settings Manager where the pointer is twice the size. This is much better, except in Chromium browser, where it became so small (about two pixels) that it is al but invisible. This happens only in Chromium; no ther applications are affected. Chromium must be somehow overriding the system settings. I've looked everywhere for some way to force Chromium to honor system settings, but without success. Suggestions welcome!
