May I know how can I update Chromium without downloading again?

Is there any way that I can just click update and it will
automatically update for me?

The Chromium is faster than firefox now.

Thanks!
Eric.

[ I don't know, sorry. I always update my Chromium by downloading the
full
package. And my Auto Update feature is not working because I'm using
Chromium Portable. ]

There are some unofficial Chromium updating scripts\programs on the web. Google it.
Other than that - no.

Hi,

I'd recommend you use Google Chrome. It has autoupdate, and a few
other features that Chromium doesn't have (e.g. PDF rendering; full
list at http://code.google.com/p/chromium/wiki/ChromiumBrowserVsGoogleChrome
).

The link Nico provided assumes you are using the linux version of
Chromium... it also seems to be out of date considering my last
experience using it in linux.
If you are using linux (I only know some things about _Ubuntu_
distro), you should be able to set up a third-party repo to find the
updates for Chromium. I'm not positive on this, but if you do a search
for Chromium repo you may be able to find your answer.
If you're using the Windows version, I haven't seen anywhere to auto-
update the browser. It may be updating when I'm not looking like the
extensions, but I don't think so. I'm looking for a way to set up auto-
update for Windows version, currently...

If you just want a general Chrome experience (faster than Firefox),
it's probably easiest to just get Google Chrome (here: http://www.google.com/chrome
). Plus it tends to be less buggy (although also seems to be the
testing ground for new features before they go to Chrome from what
I've read).

In Windows, Chromium offers the freshest version "build", "snapshot"
or "continuous" (automatically tested)
Some persons prefer a free software (in the sense "free software
license", here BSD) without Google proprietary license and without
proprietary solutions.

The Linux distros offer their own Chromium version and Google Chrome
does not exist.

Not sure what you mean, Pierre, when you write that on Linux distros,
«Google Chrome does not exist». The latest Google Chrome dev
(11.0.672.2 dev), which I downloaded from Google, works fine on my 64-
bit Ubuntu 10.10 box and is updated automatically. Chromium nightlies
in their turn are easily available from the Ubuntu PPAs :

That's true, but with chromium you are in a software not that invasive as google chrome (google now for me was to much). And you can fill the gaps of chromium easily with other programs.
