html5 comes with amazing features allowing to create web apps doing
the same thing that only a desktop apps were able to do before. My
question is whether it would be possible to take chromium and create a
desktop application that would use the chromium to run html/javascript
based code but the user would see a common desktop application with
weblike graphics.

It's basicly what happens when you use google gears or html5 features
to create offline version of a web app like google docs but i would
like to be able to change few things (like destroy offline limits) in
chrome and also make it easy to understand for a common user. This way
he would see that he is installling a desktop application and from his
point of view it would just use the internet for sync (tho it would be
possible not to need the internet at all).
